Samford’s resume is a mix of encouraging road flashes and damaging losses that together explain where it stands; the Bulldogs have shown they can win away from home with victories at Texas Southern and Central Arkansas and they collected a neutral-site win over Georgia State while turning in a respectable effort at Arkansas, but those bright spots are offset by an ugly neutral loss to Utah Valley, a poor night at VCU, a tough trip to New Mexico State and a disappointing home defeat to FGCU, all of which blunt the impact of their better results.
