Projection: need to automatically qualify

West Georgia's résumé leaves little margin for error and makes winning the conference's automatic bid the clearest path to the NCAA field. The profile is propped up by a gritty road victory at Troy and a road win at North Florida plus home victories over Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky and Queens NC that show the team can close tight games. Those positives are offset by lopsided defeats on the road at Nebraska, UCLA and Georgia, a heavy home loss to Tennessee Tech and ugly road setbacks at Jacksonville, Stetson, FGCU and Cent Arkansas that will be viewed harshly. With a stretch of upcoming games that includes home opportunities against Austin Peay, North Florida, Jacksonville and Lipscomb and a difficult road swing to North Alabama, Cent Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky and Queens NC, there are still clear chances to repair the résumé but the committee will be looking for road or neutral wins over recognizable programs so the margin for error is essentially gone.
